Joan of Arc - Maid of Heaven

The Song of Joan of Arc
By Christine de Pisan
Stanza 61

This poem completed by Christine,
on the last day of July,
in the above stated year of 1429.
About it I dare to predict that not
everyone will find it a delight.
For a person whose head is bowed
over and whose eyes are downcast.
Can not ever see the light.

Thus ends a very beautiful poem by Christine.

Original in French

Donné ce Ditié par Christine,
L'an dessusdit mil CCCC
