Joan of Arc - Maid of Heaven

The Song of Joan of Arc
By Christine de Pisan
Stanza 3

Now in 1429 the sun began to shine.
The fair season returns anew,

And many people lived in sorrow
among whom I was one so blue.
But at last my grief I have retired,
and I no longer mourn any more.
For now I can see what I long desired.
